Have you ever volunteered before? Sikkim was my first veterinary volunteer experience but it hopefully will not be my last!
Tell us about your volunteer experience? The time I spent in Sikkim was rewarding both professionally as well as personally. The landscape was beautiful, the people so gentle and kind and believe it or not, the food was delicious!
What do you think is the best aspect of the program? Being able to teach others my veterinary skills and know that such a simple thing can potentially alter so many people’s lives and dramatically improve the welfare of the local animals.

What do you like most about being a volunteer?
Being able to live life and experience a different culture whilst working with the local people it's so different from being a tourist.
