Elaine Ong is the principal of the Box Hill Veterinary Clinic in Melbourne, Australia. The Practice is an ASAVA Accredited Hospital of Excellence and she has been a busy practising small animal Veterinary surgeon since 1987. Elaine is also a member of the Faculty of Veterinary Science of the University of Melbourne. She has been an active supporter of Yudisthira the Bali Street dog Foundation since 2003, assisting with the training of the Balinese Veterinarians and of BAWA ( the Bali Animal Welfare association since 2008. Elaine is a Board member of the Tsunami Animal People Alliance which runs an ABC- AR program in East Coast of Sri Lanka and she has assisted as a Veterinary surgeon after the disaster in March 2005. Currently Elaine runs the volunteer program for TAPA. She also assists in the management of the Vets Beyond Borders office donated by Kids on Collins in Melbourne. Elaine is an active member of the Veterinary Subcommittee and helps in the screening and placement of volunteers.

Jodi Vermaas

Dr Jodi Vermaas completed her Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree from the University of Melbourne in 1994. After the Boxing Day Tsunami Jodi and her husband (Dr John Willems) participated in a Vets Beyond Borders desexing program in Dharamsala India. Since then Jodi has been part of the veterinary sub-committee with Vets Beyond Borders and processes veterinary volunteer applicants from all over the world. Jodi has recently returned from from volunteering for the Esther Honey foundation on the Cook Islands.
Faye Kingsford

Faye Kingsford has spent over 40 years in the PR/Newspaper industry, the latter mainly with the Melbourne daily Sun News-Pictorial and Age. She held the post of Deputy Editor, Women’s Section, at The Sun and was later a senior computer/business reporter at the Age. She has also written for a number of technical trade journals, BRW’s former “Business Today” weekly tabloid, Community News Publications and currently writes and edits a regular column on small business issues for the finance section of Melbourne’s metropolitan daily Herald-Sun. She has also conducted training courses for clients on communications, PR and media skills, and lectured on media liaison at Melbourne’s TAFE College to students of Environmental Engineering.
