Aproximately 300,000 dogs and 500,000 cats live in misery on the streets of Bangkok, malnourished and diseased. SCAD is dedicated to improving their lives and reducing their numbers through our ABC, education and adoption programmes. Our ABC programmes focus on helping individual communities reduce the number of strays in their area through a trap/neuter/return policy. The animals are neutered, vaccinated and treated for any ailments before being returned. We explain and show the benefits of sterilisation and vaccination for the whole community. We also have on-going education programmes in schools, inspiring the next generation to work towards solving the issue of the stray animal population humanely, effectively and forever.
