Vets Beyond Borders is seeking applications for staff positions on the Vet-Train team. This six-month pilot programme entails the formation of a clinical team to deliver concise and carefully-targetted training to Indian veterinarians and para-veterinarians. VBB promoting and educating in Sikkim
A Kisan Mela or agricultural fair, was recently held in Gangtok. This 3 day event was attended by 3000 farmers and for the first time the Sikkim Anti-Rabies & Animal Health (SARAH) programme was invited to hold a stall presenting ideas about its project in Sikkim. The Kisan Mela is a great opportunity for the SARAH team to promote the programme and educate the local community about its work.

Updated Ladakh Galleries
The Leh Street Dog Project desexed 901 dogs this season which means that the volunteers and the local team have been very busy at the clinic. Its lucky that Dr Ruth Pye and Dr Janet Perry had enough time to take some photos of the project. Meet An Amazing Volunteer, Dr Rebecca Traub
Rebecca Traub was born in Perth, Western Australia and brought up in Calcutta. After doing the usual spate of locum work in the UK and small animal practice in Perth, she decided to undertake a PhD on the epidemiology of canine parasitic zoonoses in tea-growing communities in Assam, India. Rebecca currently works as a Lecturer in Veterinary Public Health at the University of Queensland.
