Fundraising Run for Ladakh - Dr Ruth Pye

VBB volunteer extraordinaire and past LARDoM (Ladakh) Project manager, Dr Ruth Pye, successfully completed her fundraising run in the Great Ocean Road Marathon on Sunday (May 15th 2011). Ruth’s time for the marathon was 4 hours 19 mins, and for the total 45 km was 4hours 40mins. She describes the course as “Hilly and windy but a beautiful course!”.
Ruth was accompanied by half-marathon participant and another previous VBB volunteer Kim Nagle (left in photo).
At the last minute Ruth decided to use her participation in the event as a way to raise money for VBB. Ruth is going back to volunteer in Ladakh again this year and wished to raise money to support that work.
