Donated Items

From time to time veterinary clinics and companies as well as individuals offer to donate veterinary supplies and textbooks to VBB. We really appreciate these offers. If you have some items you would like to donate please send us a list of these items and where they are located using the Contact us form.

Please understand however that often the difficulty for us when accepting donated items is the cost of getting these donated items to our projects which are generally overseas - freight or postage charges, as well as custom duty,  can be expensive especially for heavy items. Also we are a small, mostly volunteer run organisation and do not have storage facilities. As a consequence we may not be able to accept some items. If you can assist with the costs or organise the freight or postage of your donated item/s to the projects that would be most appreciated.

* Donations are tax deductible in Australia through our association with AFAP.
AFAP and Vets Beyond Borders are working jointly to deliver aid to communities overseas. AFAP closely monitors the work of Vets Beyond Borders to ensure the delivery of relief and development programs in India in terms of project outcomes. AFAP allows Vets Beyond Borders to use donated funds or donations in kind only for benevolent activities undertaken by Vets Beyond Borders. Vets Beyond Borders do not have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status in our own right and are relying on AFAP’s DGR endorsed status by the Australian Tax Office. AFAP retains the ultimate discretion whether to distribute any funds in accordance with the preference expressed by the donor. AFAP charge VBB a 6% fee on donations for adminstration.
